GETTING STARTED

A home for the sounds
you already own.

Add your folders. Find a few possibilities. Listen to what catches your attention.

The Windows release is in preparation. This is an introduction to the workflow; final installation steps and requirements will arrive with the release.

01. Start with your folders.

A Workspace holds Dossie’s catalogue and saved analysis. Add the audio folders you want to browse as Sources.

Your source audio stays in its original location. Keep the folder or drive available when you want to play the files. Sound-based filters depend on the relevant analysis being available.

02. Narrow the list. Listen.

Browse the whole library or choose a folder to focus on. Use filename information and available sound attributes to narrow your results. Browse by instrument, tempo and key, or explore production character such as Saturated, Chorus-like and Bitcrushed. These labels describe audible resemblance rather than the exact effects used.

Supported search wording becomes visible filters you can review, edit or remove. Unrecognized wording does not narrow the results.

Select a sound and use its audition control to listen. The original file remains the sound you work with.

03. Come back with a new idea.

Your Workspace retains its catalogue and saved results. Reopen it to explore another corner of your collection.

If a sound seems missing, check your selected folder, active filters, and whether its original drive is available.
